These brakes are easy to install, made of rugged cast iron for long life and have minimal moving parts so you can mount the brake, and it starts performing immediately. They operate with the axis vertical, horizontal, or at any angle you require. Instead of the cylindrical design of other magnetic particle brakes, these units have a disk shaped rotor. The space between the rotor and the two sides is filled with the magnetic particles so the unit can be operated in any orientation. Applications can include tensioning of film rolls on vertical shafts, packaging machines and machine tools.
